Plants don't punch

They just swing
They usually miss
And they never aim
Plants don't hit
They don't cause pain
They just stand there
And soak up the rain
Plants don't hurt
And you can't hurt them
No matter how you cut
They grow back again
Plants don't cry
Not a single drop
But they are full of water
From root to top
Plants don't scream
They don't shout
They don't complain when
You put them out
Plants complain
Even if they did
You would notice
What they said
But plant do tell us many things
About how we live
And ecology
They know more that me know
And they were here long ago
So don't abuse them
Even if they can take it
Because without them
We can't make it
But if we nurture them
And provide them care
They give us food
And an endless supply
Of clean air.
