Poem: Indecision
By Pasqual Torres

At the intersection of my conscience
I'm lost without a map
One side says stop, the other side says go
It feels like at trap
Anxious and queasy, my pulse is rising
The lights are starting to flash
I have to do something, instead of nothing
Or else I'm left only to crash
Guilt
Understanding
Empathy
Remorse
I'm headed in too many directions
I need to be grounded, change the course
and find some other connections
If I play it safe and take the smooth road
I could end up going nowhere
But if I risk it all, in the fast lane
I might find myself in utter despair
The light changes as quick as the wind
and the decision has been made for me
I've been blindsided; I'm completely pinned
And left to suffer in my self-imposed agony

Poem: Missing
By Pasqual Torres

Where are you
Where have you been
Why can't I find you
Where is my friend
You seem so lost
Hidden within
Gone is the happiness
Replaced with chagrin
Say goodbye to pride
Farewell to esteem
I’m embracing humility
Taking one for the team
All that is left is a ghost in the shell
Missing the life he once knew so well.

Poem: Heartbroken
By Pasqual Torres

It seems I'm happy when you're sad
It seems I'm angry when you're glad
Ever wonder what makes this true
Ever wonder why I even talk to you
Sometimes I feel like feeling is not enough
Sometimes I think maybe I just think too much
Maybe the stars aren't alinged
Maybe your fate isn't mine
And with all the things in doubt
There is one thing that's for sure
There are no more happy endings
And I am sick and without a cure
