Plants don't punch

They just swing
They usually miss
And they never aim
Plants don't hit
They don't cause pain
They just stand there
And soak up the rain
Plants don't hurt
And you can't hurt them
No matter how you cut
They grow back again
Plants don't cry
Not a single drop
But they are full of water
From root to top
Plants don't scream
They don't shout
They don't complain when
You put them out
Plants complain
Even if they did
You would notice
What they said
But plant do tell us many things
About how we live
And ecology
They know more that me know
And they were here long ago
So don't abuse them
Even if they can take it
Because without them
We can't make it
But if we nurture them
And provide them care
They give us food
And an endless supply
Of clean air.

I'm so lucky
For what I have
I really love
my mom and dad
They don't buy
Me many things
Like plastic dolls
or candy rings
We don't go on
expensive vacations
to amusement parks
or exotic locations
I do even have a swimming pool
But I still think
My parents are pretty cool
Cause all the things
That I don't have
They are still the greatest
Mom and dad
They read to me in my bed
And kiss me goodnight
On my forehead
They make me breakfast
And pack my lunch
They drop me off
With a kiss and hug
They sit down with me
After school
And make sure I finish
All that's due
We talk over dinner
About my day
And then sit around and
Watch a movie
And we cuddle up on the
Love seat
And tickle each other with
Our feet
And they make sure I know
How much they love me
And tell me so
There's nothing in the world
That make me more happy
They how special my parents
Treat me.
